Tees Electrical Limited holds several esteemed accreditations. These accreditations collectively affirm our dedication to delivering exceptional service, upholding high industry standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction in all our electrical projects.
Back to top1) NICEIC Approved Contractor
Since 1956, the NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) has been the UKs leading regulatory body for electricians and electrical contractors
As an NICEIC Approved Contractor, Tees Electrical has undergone rigorous assessment to ensure your job is completed safely and competently to the highest standards of compliance. This accreditation signifies our adherence to safety and technical excellence in all electrical installations
We are assessed on the completion of domestic and commercial EICRs (Electrical Installation Condition Reports) by the NICEIC and are also part of the Rented Sector Scheme
Many customers aren’t aware that Approved Contractor status differs from the NICEIC Domestic Installer scheme which was set up in the early 2000s. Contractors who are ‘Domestic Installer Only’ are not assessed for more complex work, commercial or industrial settings or the completion of EICRs (Electrical Installation Condition Reports). They are only assessed on the completion and certification of basic electrical work they have completed themselves in a domestic setting (such as a kitchen fitter installing a new cooker circuit etc).
Back to top2) Which? Trusted Trader
We are independently vetted by one of the UKs most trusted and well known consumer organisations. Which? has been a respected consumer rights organisation since 1957 and promotes informed consumer choice in the purchase of goods and services.
As a Which? Trusted Trader, our customers have access to an independent dispute resolution service
3) MCS Certification
MCS stands for Microgeneration Certification Scheme, the benchmark in the Renewables Industry
Our MCS certification for both Solar PV and Battery Storage demonstrates the quality of products used and our competency in designing and installing your renewable energy systems, in compliance with ever evolving industry standards.
Using Tees Electrical for your solar or battery installation means
- Better return on investment – MCS-certified installations qualify for government incentives like the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) where you are paid for selling excess electricity back to the grid
- Added Value to Your Home – If you sell your property, buyers will look for MCS-certified Solar or Battery installations. Any installations without MCS Certification in place can lead to problems when selling, and problems with mortgage lenders and insurance companies
- Quality – We are assessed on how we follow high technical and safety standards, in terms of paperwork and documentation as well as the physical end product
- Compliant with Regulations – We ensure your system meets building regulations and grid connection requirements
- Warranties and Peace of Mind – We provide the necessary insurance backed guarantees
- A good job – Poor designs, products that haven’t been MCS certified and poor installations can lead to lower performance, electrical faults, and safety risks.
In conjunction with MCS, we are also a member of RECC, the Renewable Energy Consumer Code. This reflects our dedication to high consumer protection standards. It ensures that we operate with integrity and transparency in all renewable energy projects and that customers can have the necessary confidence in us as their installer throughout their journey.
Back to top4) TrustMark Endorsement
Endorsement by the UK Government's TrustMark scheme signifies that we meet government-endorsed standards for quality and service. This assures clients of our commitment to maintaining high standards in all our projects
Back to top5) GivEnergy Approved Installer
We have received in-house product training and received good customer feedback on commissioned products to obtain our approved installer status. This means we are able to provide appropriate support and advice for GivEnergy inverters, EV chargers and battery storage systems and the installations we commission are eligible for the full manufacturers warranty
Back to top6) ECA Member
The Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) was founded in 1901 to represent the interests of contractors who designed, installed, inspected, tested and maintained electrical and electronic equipment and services
Our membership keeps us updated with industry developments and best practices. We are assessed on our trading history, competence and technical compliance. ECA membership grants us access to a wealth of British Standards, technical and business support
