Yes. Since 2005, electrical work completed at your home must legally comply with building regulations, the purpose of which is to protect you from fire and electric shock. The requirements are set out in ‘Approved Document P’ of the Building Regulations (England), commonly referred to as ‘Part P’.
We are registered with a government approved scheme and are regularly assessed to provide our customers Part P compliance certificates. We issue a separate Building Regulations Compliance Certificate in accordance with this scheme, in addition to your electrical certificate. This is required where work involves the installation of a new circuit, the replacement of a consumer unit or work within what are known as special locations such as a bathroom.
